This is a first for this rad dad! I am reviewing a product! HEY! Now don’t stop reading because this is pretty cool… especially if you’re a dad and hate wearing pink. Mom’s pay attention too, because your husbands will thank you, and you’ll probably love this thing.
The product I am reviewing is called a Kowalli. (go ahead, click the link, I’ll wait for you to return.) Kowalli contacted me through my blog and asked if I wanted to try out their product and write a review. I looked at the Kowalli, then showed my wife and she was like… “Heck yeah, Get that thing!”. So Kowalli sent me one and here is my story about it.
As many of you know I have 3 daughters. Once my wife and I hit 2 daughters she just assumed all is a go to buy a whole bunch of pink crap.
This included a bright pink Ergo. She could have gotten the black one, but ‘Hey, we already have 2 daughters.’ Once the third daughter came into the picture I started urinating pink.
Each and every time I put my child in this bright pink Ergo I get some smart-alec remark about wearing pink. Even from complete strangers. One time I had my daughter on my back and someone said,
“Nice Pink Backpack!”
“Yeah there’s a kid in this backpack.”
“Oh! I didn’t even notice.”
Like I’d wear around a pink backpack. Here… take a look for yourself at this wonderful pinkness.
Now enter the Kowalli.
This item is a cover for your baby carrier. It fits over every baby carrier there is and not only does it cover up pink Ergo’s but this thing is warm.
Have you ever tried to wrap a blanked up inside your baby carrier? First you are bending over backwards and laying your kid on your stomach. Then laying the blanket on top of the kid, then you try to snap the baby carrier in place… LOL. What a mess. The blanket is sticking out every edge and no doubt it’s balled up and pressing on your kids bladder the entire time they’re in the carrier.
The Kowalli just pulls on over the top of your kid and carrier and they are protected from the frigid weather and elements. It wraps all the way around your body so it keeps you warm too. Plus it has these sweet hand warming pockets that make me feel like a quarterback.
I wasn’t sure at first if I would have to fake that I liked the product when I wrote my review, but that absolutely is not the case. It is very cool. My wife is extremely excited as well.
Now back to the pinkness. Check out the lack of pink with the Kowalli on…
The night I had these pictures taken my family was at a high school football game. I had tons of parents ask me what the heck this thing was and a few even wanted to try it out.
Check out our friend Cara and her 8 month old son Jude. What’s cool about this is that she doesn’t even have a carrier on. She simply used the Kowalli to keep herself and her son warm. And for you nursing mothers out there, it doubles as an extremely warm and cozy nursing cover.
“This thing is awesome!”
Another lady named Ruth, I call her Mama Ruth, came to me to ask where she can buy one. Ruth is one of my best friends mom, and a wonderful grandma to a bunch of kids. There is no doubt she was thinking how perfect of a gift the Kowalli would be.
So that’s pretty much it. The Kowalli is pretty awesome and I am excited that this was the first product review for a specific company I did on my site.
Go check out the Kowalli, and if you want buy one for yourself or as a gift. ====> http://www.kowalli.com/
Kowalli also sells these KozyBoots and SnuggleHats that are stinkin cute. Take a look.
And they have agreed to do a give away for my readers. So next week, we will be giving away a Hat and Boots.
